IT Department of a big Eastern European bank

Development of the modern Distance Banking System for the corporate clients of the major Eastern European bank.

Responsibilities:

The new system was mission critical and aimed to replace several legacy banking systems. The department of over 500+ IT professionals was involved in the development of the project, where I was responsible for the development of Currency Exchange Control set of projects with up to 80 people.

Achievements:

- successfully managed the development process during several major releases of Currency Exchange Control project

- drove the re-architecture initiative to make the Currency Exchange Control sub-system, initially developed only for Corporate clients, also available and reusable by other banking systems (medium and small businesses and retail clients)

- drove the migration and onboarding of biggest corporate clients to the new Distance Banking System, supported corresponding troubleshooting and performance optimization efforts

2015 - 2020

- participating in internal project reviews and audits as trusted delivery manager (working closely with Luxoft Quality Centre)

- participated in CMMI appraisal as part of appraisal team (2016)

Achievements:

- initiated several projects and built distributed teams from scratch (in USA, Mexico, Ukraine, Vietnam and Russia)

- took part in many proposal preparations for existing and new clients, significant part of these competitive bids has been wonDeveloped, managed, operated and promoted an Internet business.Handled customer support issues.Planned and managed business finances.

Project management of several projects for the big customer in Aerospace vertical:

- scope forming and discussion with customers

- project planning

- budget planning and related communications with managers on customer's side

- ongoing communications with managers and key technical specialists on customer's side

- project team planning and forming, people management (performance appraisals, staff development) in projects with team size up to 45 people

- daily management activities: planning, tasks assignment, execution control, team motivation

- successfully implemented tens of releases in 5 projects for big customer (aircraft company)

- ensure compliance with the quality metrics used in the company

- participating into CMMI appraisal in 2013 (Luxoft successfully confirmed compliance with CMMI level 5)

- successfully developed the functionality for several releases of several systems

Responsibilities:

- leading of development team (4 people)

- hiring new people to the team

- supervising of newcomers

- architecture development of automation system

- code development for embedded devices (C/C++)

- development of program interfaces (CAN Open)

Achievements:

- developed from scratch the realization of CAN Open protocol for Philips LPC microcontrollers (ARM7)

- developed the software part of the automation system for locomotive depot (software for embedded devices and automated workstation)
